I have been swimming at Monmouth Heights since 2nd grade. This year I will be graduating from Freehold Township High School where I was on the varsity swim team all four years, and captain my senior year. Since sophomore year I have been on competitive club teams. In September, I will be swimming for Monmouth University. Last summer I was an Assistant coach for the Stingrays. I look forward to being the Head Coach and working with our new coaches and swimmers.
Molly started competing for the Y of Western Monmouth County in our summer league when she was five, then became a Monmouth Heights Stingray at age eleven. She has competed on a year-round club team since age six and has been a member of the Ocean County YMCA National Team since age thirteen. Molly also swims for the Freehold Township High School Patriots, and will be a senior in the fall. Her favorite events to swim are the 100BR, 400IM and 200FL. She is looking forward to working with Stingray swimmers and helping them improve their strokes, while having fun at the same time.
I have been a member of the Monmouth Heights Stingrays Swim Team for the past 8 years. I am a junior at Freehold Township High School and am a member of the National Honors Society as well as the Contemporary Global Issues Learning Center. I started swimming year-round when I was 11 for the Peddie Aquatics Association, then I swam for the Freehold-Old Bridge YMCA Swim Team for 3 years. I have now been on the Red Bank YMCA Swim Team for two years. This is my first year coaching. In my free time, I like to read, volunteer, and hang out with my friends. I am looking forward to a fun and incredible summer season! Go Stingrays!!
Rebecca Como’s swimming career began at 7 years old with the Stingrays, and today continues at the Red Bank YMCA. When she’s not swimming, Rebecca volunteers for the Special Olympics, enjoys reading, and spends time with her friends. She’s going to be a junior at marlboro high school and looks forward to sharing her love of swimming with all the Stingrays swimmers this summer!
